Stunning brutality and stark stylized forms have been put together in order to shape a distinct identity for the 1001 Nights House designed by the unashamedly modernist A- Cero Architects. On a plot of 7000 sq.m., in Madrid, Spain, A- Cero have chosen to place a 2100 sq.m single family residence of beautiful spatial complexity and character, dressed in black granite stone.

Sweeping curved shapes are used as the main ingredient to demonstrate the architects' dramatic style, this time partially hiding the property, in an effortless and brilliant way. Sheets of water embrace a wide stone path that leads to an enormous black glass door, which serves as the property’s main entrance. The rear façade of the house, which is positioned on the sloping side of the plot, houses a porch, a swimming pool and a magnificent garden of palms, pomegranate trees and Middle Eat vegetation, visible from all the different rooms of the property. Massive, wide windows and sections of white marble passable areas ensure the abundance of flow of natural light. During the night, the residence is illuminated by multi-colored LEDs, giving it a futuristic look and adding to its visual intriguing element.

Typical of their brand and style, Joaquin Torres architects have managed to, once again, make an architectural statement of elegance, boldness and unique identity.
