The Breeze project undertaken by Japanese architects, ARTechnic is located in a prestigious downtown area of Tokyo. As two sides of the plot face a road with traffic and pedestrians, the architects chose to shelter their terraced construction behind a series of huge curved walls. The concept was to provide a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo in much the same way as a secluded beach may be hidden by a towering cliff face.

On entering the structure through the openings of the walls, the super modern residences are organized into first floor apartments and maisonettes on the second and third floors. The interiors are bright and open, each one with an private outdoor space of terrace or courtyard, a real bonus in the densely populated city of Tokyo. The elegant spaces are lit by concealed lighting which sets the tone of relaxation.

The whole development from its inception was overseen by ARTechnic, from the choice of the site down to its system of insulation and ease of maintenance. The structure makes a bold statement in the area and its visibility during the evening hours are ensured due to the spectacular illumination of its exterior, exactly as ARTechnic intended!
