Located in Lagos of Southern Portugal, Colunata House is a coastal contemporary residence, designed in 2011 by the Portuguese architect Mario Martins.
Using local materials and with respect to the natural surroundings, the emphasis has been placed on the house’s exquisite location and stunning, panoramic views, while ensuring effective wind protection. The structure of the property consists of organically grouped white volumes climaxing to a semi-circular opening, which surrounds the pool and spreads out to the central terrace, driving its guests to be impressed by its breathtaking sea view. The ambience prevailing indoors is that of a majestic space where elegance meets modernity, so as to create this chic and avant-garde look. The achromatic colour scheme allows the light traveling through to stand out and give colour and meaning to the house.
The strong elements of water and greenery enhance the sense of serenity and peacefulness that surrounds the area.
