Located in Ramot Hashavim , a quiet suburb of Israel and designed by the Argentinian architect Nestor Sandbank, Cubes Villa is what we would call a contemporary jewel of architecture. Striking in its presence, combining the bold minimalism of its form with a seamless fusion of clean lines and curvilinear shapes, this stark residence bases its entire design concept on ‘cubes’.

These ‘pods’, as one could call them, are separate, secluded micro-dwelling units which ensure that the privacy of each member of the house remains intact, while in the meantime all their needs are met through the series of amenities provided in their private living room, master bedroom and bathroom areas. The L-shaped residence also contains a private cinema, game room with snooker and table tennis, a designer kitchen, and shared double-height public areas, whose interior scenery highlights the magnitude of the space, its dramatic scale of openness and mirrors the boldness of the structure.

A magnificent illustration of stark stylized forms and lines, both inside and outside, matching harmoniously, contributing to the villa’s sculptural form and completing this thought – provoking architectural eye candy!
