GP House, a design project of the practice of Bitar Arquitectos, is located in Pachuca, the capital city of the Mexican state of Hidalgo. As a townhouse designed in a contemporary linear aesthetic, it fulfills every need of the urban lifestyle of the client and much more, thanks to the advantage of the site which enjoys a view of a local golf course.

The two level structure presents a somber concrete front to the street facade but to the rear, it is a transparent home with extensive glazing. In addition to concrete with some metallic features, natural materials were chosen for the interior, marble, locally sourced stone and walnut panels for the doors which add a welcome sense of warmth. Some walls remained in their natural state of raw concrete while others were painted in a neutral shade to exude a simple understated sophistication. The stone faced horizontal cube which divides the interior contains the stairs and extends to accommodate the chimney.

The private spaces are conventionally located on the upper level and on the ground floor are the kitchen and games room with the double height living area which visually connects with the expanses of green of the golf course. On the mezzanine, the TV room is a semi-private space separated with wooden louvered screen, ensuring daylight enters the space. Skylights are incorporated in the upper level to aid daylight quality. A feature of the residence is the lighting system specifically designed to highlight the unique rural feel of the location of the home as well as the clean uncomplicated lines of its architectural style.
