Hotel Hotel is a holistic concept from the Australian based Molonglo Group, founded on fertile principles of sustainability, community, diversity and lifestyle. Situated at the shores of Lake Burley Griffin within the Nishi building at NewActon at central Canberra, Hotel Hotel is a place for People People. It’s a collaboration between designers, artists, artisans and fantasists who love hotels for their transience and the importance of romance. Like the textures and patinas that remind us of the bush, big trees, well-worn t-shirts and old wise faces that in every line reflect the enormity and joy of a life well lived.

The Hotel is located in three levels of the Nishi residential building, a sustainable vertical village that contains within its facilities delivering the best of global cinema, independent book and pop-up stores, music and local cafes and bars. An exquisite grand stair handcrafted by reused and salvaged timbers leads clients to a hotel foyer reminiscent more of  a living room than a lobby. The hotel public spaces are fashioned by humble materials in unexpected and creative ways. Bespoke furniture, art and rare objects can be found in all of the Hotel Hotel’s spaces and rooms. Monumental land artworks by Dannish artist Alfio Bonanno and NYC based Steven Siegel bind the Nishi architecture to its immediate physical location. The overall result is a hotel where people coexist with art, nature and each other. Hotel Hotel is treasuring simple human interactions and making every day experiences interesting and special.
