The house is built on a hillside overlooking the Gulf of Corinth. Due to the natural slope of the ground it is developed on three levels (basement with ancillary spaces, ground floor with the main living spaces and a mezzanine level above the kitchen), in shape resembling a cube sitting on the hillside.

The residence has been conceived according to the principles of bioclimatic design with a solar chimney incorporated in its south façade. The main living areas create a unified open space. A two-sided energy-efficient fireplace has been placed in the middle of the mezzanine railing, partly hanging over the living room. Special care has been given to the gradual transition from enclosed to open space, with verandahs both towards the north (sea-view) and the south (mountain-view) and to the natural lighting of all spaces throughout the day.

Fair-faced concrete has been chosen for the exteriors in order to better blend the building into the colours of the natural environment, which basically consists of olive and cypress trees. The roofs are planted. Interior walls are painted in white. The other main interior colour is a range of various shades of grey, which create a cool and tranquil effect and are interrupted by strokes of the vividly coloured kitchen, doors and furniture.
