The house in Paiania by ISV Architects has the great advantage of its location, an east facing slope of a relatively unspoilt suburb of Attika.

The home consists of two horizontal structures, an upper level which accommodates the private quarters of the occupants and affords an uninterrupted view of the surrounding landscape, and a lower level which is the living area and the children’s bedrooms. The extensive glazing of the living space leads directly onto the terrace and pool area, enhancing the dialogue between the interior and exterior spaces.

There is a distinct sense of transparency within the design both from the interior aspect and exterior. The clean geometric lines soothe the eye and when night falls and the illuminations of the home are reflected into the pool, it becomes more than just an architectural feat to be admired, but a haven of relaxation and enjoyment for the residents.
