This visually striking example of contemporary architecture is the design of the Athenian practice of Divercity Architects under the direction of Nikolas Travasaros. Located on a 1.000 sq.m. site in the up market Athenian suburb of Psychiko, its 600 sq.m. living space is shared between three interconnecting zones which fulfill the concept of a home with maximum freedom of movement and flexibility.

The central space of the structure is of stone, inspired by the rock on which the Acropolis stands, the curving transparencies of the interior wall which leads from the living space connect with a patio where the canal like pool follows its flowing lines and forms a connection between the front and rear of the house. The overhanging and bridge like upper level offers a fantastic view of Athens from the floor to ceiling windows of the bedrooms.

The marble faced garage performs a dual purpose as a stunning backdrop for the owner’s collection of vintage cars and contemporary art. A pleasing design of contrasts, gentle curves against the rigidity of geometric shapes, solids and transparencies which, as a whole, create a harmonious balance to the structure.A series of skylights, apertures and slatted blinds ensure maximum daylight enters the spaces creating a sense of openness and light throughout this outstanding luxury home.
