A 400m2 masterpiece, of a stunningly characteristic silhouette, was designed by HENN Architects to serve as Porsche’s Pavilion, a part of Volkswagen’s theme park at the Autostadt, Wolfsburg, Germany. The building, housing car exhibitions and presentations, was designed in such a way so as to echo the brand’s image and philosophy combining innovation, design, functionality and exclusiveness.

This compelling, organically shaped structure stands out as a token of ultra-modern architecture, whose curving lines and sensational bends manage to capture effortlessly the dynamic flow of driving. Its curved roof cantilevers 25m out towards a pool of water that wraps around the park, thus creating a continuous flow and integrating it to the rest of the structures of the Volkswagen family. Matt stainless steel cladding serves as the building shell of this vibrant sculpture giving to it a continuously changing effect, depending on the natural light. On the inside, an elliptically bent ramp connects the upper and lower doors and winds around the massive exhibition hall, where some of Porsche’s jewels are displayed behind 25 silver miniatures.

HENN Architects have brilliantly created a breathtaking structure, of a dramatic shape, smartly resembling the aerodynamic forms of the automotive industry.
