For anyone who has dreamt of moving closer to nature, of adopting a different lifestyle in a cabin, deep in the woods, but of course without losing sight of the element of comfort and security, will love San Sen House, a project undertaken in 2008 by the practice of Alejandro Sanchez Garcia Arquitectos.

Located in the wooded countryside of Valle de Bravo in Mexico, the 860 sq.m. home is composed of a steel frame and a mass of transparencies, affixed to the ground by a stone clad service tower. The advantage of this design is that it provides an home immersed in nature through a no holds barred series of indoor/outdoor spaces which ensure a unique experience of being at one with nature.

There is absolutely nothing rustic or cabin like with this design, on the contrary, through a series of courtyards, pavilions and bright open interiors, it exudes a positive aura of contemporary sophistication and sartorial elegance which one would not expect to come across in the heart of this verdant woodland setting!
