A design project of the Singapore based architectural practice of Farm, The Wall House is in fact two separate homes for a two generation family. Standing on a generous site within the urban fabric, the two main volumes are linked through a central courtyard and connecting oval skylights to ensure that natural daylight floods the lower level, where six planted willow trees reference the Chinese aesthetic which has been incorporated within the design of the homes.

A warm interior space with a continuing theme of wood and granite provides a solid backdrop for the neutral colour palette and classic furniture to present a picture of urban elegance. Extensive glazing throughout looks out upon landscaped gardens, expanses of greenery and lawns. As with the philosophy of classical Chinese landscaping, views are orchestrated via overlapping spaces and courtyards, making the two independent homes present a face of harmonious unity.
