This collection of colourful images is the work of a young graphic designer who turned his hand to the creation of art. Based in Paris, Benoit Jammes one day came across a pile of discarded cassette tapes. As they instilled in him a sense of nostalgia for his childhood and youth and the pleasure he had experienced from the music of the 80s, he preferred not to throw them away but to create a collection of pop art images as a homage to those carefree times and to the enjoyment that the cassettes had given to his peers.

HIs appealing works refer to a variety of subjects and iconic images of the 20th century, from the Kill Bill poster to Bart Simpson. Each one of his imaginative and often humorous pieces is entirely handmade from original cassettes supplemented by additional material positioned on colourful backgrounds. The minimal accents of the collection is a reminder of the simplicity of days gone by, a time when life was less complicated and computer technology was in its infancy, presented in a form that is highly entertaining and raises the possibilities of recycling to a brand new level.
