Daisy Balloon is balloon artist Rie Hosokai (born 1976) and art director/graphic designer Takashi Kawada (born 1976). Making the world their stage, this balloon unit travels the globe to exhibit their art.

Balloons inevitably deflate and lose their shape. In figurative terms, a completed work is like a flower in full bloom. They wither away with time. Daisy Balloon spends day and night examining alternative non-deflatable materials, but that reality is still a far stretch. The very thing Daisy Balloon can do right now, "to capture the beauty of the moment in photographs," is exactly what this book sets out to do.

Balloon art which is a faction of pop art is still relatively unknown to the general public. Daisy Balloon aims to break through this reality and raise awareness of this form of art.
