The Hermés Petit h project is inspired by the childhood memories of Pascal Mussard, co-artistic director of the company and great-great-great granddaughter of Thierry Hermes, founder of the prestigious fashion house. As a child, she would play in the workrooms and collect the discarded scraps of materials and dreamed of giving them a second chance to be recreated as desirable objects.

This dream is now a reality as Hermes, in their project to unite artists and craftsmen with unused and discarded material from the Hermes workshops, crystal, leather, crocodile and wood, even silk scarves with the slightest imperfection which deems it unsaleable in the conventional sense. These items have been recreated into a collection of playful, surreal but always impressive objects, all with the stamp of creativity worthy of the iconic name of Hermes.

The Petit h collection will be on display at the Hermes boutique in Hong Kong from September 26th through to October 18th, 2012.
