Tom Fruin’s most recent colourful installation is to be found on top of a building near the Brooklyn Bridge Park in NYC. It represents a tribute to the hundreds of towers scattered throughout the city and part of the 2012 NYC Water Tank Project.

The artwork, which has the same proportions as an actual water tower, is constructed from re-salvaged multi-coloured plexiglass, sourced from the NYC area.  During the day, the tower shimmers with natural illumination and from sunset to daybreak, a highly visible light show takes place, thanks to the technical skill of artist, Ryan Holsopple.

The kaleidoscopic ‘Water Tower’ installation will remain in situ from 7th June 2012 through to June, 2013
