The French street artist, known as IEMZA, has risen to fame in his native city of Reims. Unlike the familiar sight of spray paint graffiti, the art of IEMZA is made up of lined drawings which bring to mind sketches and architectural drawings. Within his work we can see wide eyed alien faces, insects and creatures from another dimension, fantastic buildings from the world of dreams.
He concentrates his art on dilapidated, deserted industrial spaces where he brings life and rebirth to their forgotten surfaces through the creation of his masterpieces. The raw concrete of his canvas adds to the emotional appeal of his surrealistic drawings in these unexpected surroundings. The genre of street art is gaining more and more attention from the art world as it is rapidly gaining appreciation as a collectible art form and its creators are seen as regular participants in exhibitions worldwide.
