The second range of products to be designed by New York based Brad Ascalon Studio for Design Within Reach, is the Atlas Table Collection.
Inspired by the character of Greek Mythology, Atlas, whose fate it was to carry the weight of the heavens on his shoulders for all eternity, the collection is made up of coffee table and side tables.
With elegant simplicity, the interlocking walnut base of the piece creates a support for the solid table tops, available in a choice of black or white marble and for those who want an alternative to this luxurious material, there is a further option of travertine. The message extended within the design is that of strength and endurance, qualities which exist within the collection and which we would hope to have in our lives.
