The most closely followed ambassadors of Avant Garde design from Brazil, Fernando and Humberto Campana present their most recent collection at the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris.

A series of 11 furniture prototypes inspired by the figurative sculptures of the Baroque and Rococo periods, they are composed of meticulous filigree craftsmanship cast in gilt bronze by a specialist workshop in Rome. The gothic style of the pieces embody a palatial opulence with a touch of almost pre-historic aggression through the addition of fur, wire and gilded bamboo to the furniture.

The brothers Campano are renowned for their fondness of the eclectic and their ability to transform and recycle everyday objects within the design of their unexpected products. The Barroco Rococo exhibition at the museum will run through to February 24th, 2013.
