The Mirra, a classic office chair by the American firm of Herman Miller, has been redesigned by the German practice of Studio 7.5 and introduced at the 2013 Salone del Mobile as the Mirra 2. Inspired by the ongoing interest in and coordination of office and home environments, the designers looked closely at the practical elements in office furniture and assessed the needs of office personnel, which they translated into their design for Mirra 2.

Every aspect of the chair was redesigned to incorporate the latest technology and material developments, working on the premise that superior technology will result in an improved product. The Mirra 2 is a lighter chair with anatomic support and a patented Harmonic Tilt mechanism, offering the ultimate in adjustability and comfort.

The chair will be on sale from the summer 2013 and is set to become the popular successor to the Mirra as it promises to be the quintessential item of office furniture in terms of design aesthetics and efficiency, at an affordable price.
