The F/W 2013 collection of the fashion designers Viktor & Rolf was recently shown during the Paris Fashion Week. Once more, the practice of Studio Job were assigned the project of creating a backdrop for the show. The only specification the designers were given was: ‘Something with flowers’...

And that is exactly what happened,  the ‘something’ amounted to a back wall of wilted sunflowers which brought to mind the wallpaper designers of William Morris, the iconic 19th century textile designer. In various shades of grey, the repetitive strips of flowers were set against a runway of worn wooden floorboards in an environment of shabby chic on which the black and white avant-garde collection was shown, a blend of textured tailoring, rips, tears and transparencies with a punk feel and the designers’ signature bows!
