The Atlanta based lighting designer Christopher Moulder is the brainchild behind this gear shaped lighting system which he calls the ‘Schproket’. The design for this highly original lighting option emerged after experimentation with low voltage bulbs which means that the fixture doesn’t need any insulation, thus, Schproket is the actual light socket.
This contemporary lighting design incorporates a mechanism which produced the tiny points of light around the circumference of the ring. At first glance, the design concept appears to be industrial, however, taking into consideration the flexibility of the system, which allows a variety of ways in which to use it, suspended or wall mounted at any angle without the need for plugs or sockets, the possibilities are endless. The most impressive example of the many ways in which it may be used is the stunning multi-tiered chandelier, which would be at home in the most elegant of settings.
Schproket is available in 24 inch, 36 inch and 47 inch rings and uses energy efficient xenon bulbs, guaranteed for a long life.
