A series of beautifully crafted objects were presented by Taiwan Eco Arts during the 2013 Design Week. Coordinated by Design Director Giulio Ceppi, the collection included 5 brand new items presented for the first time, a group of seats, each one an example of the exquisite artistry of Taiwan.

By employing sustainable materials including various types of local wood and bamboo together with sandstone, stainless steel and cotton, the traditional crafts of Taiwan, weaving, bending and carving, were reinterpreted in the contemporary identity of each piece.

The collection aims to promote the talents of young Taiwanese designers and artisans to an international level and emphasize the spiritual benefits of the creative process. The term Eco Arts does not only refer to the ecological aspects of the materials and products but also the preservation of a culture and heritage and the meaning of a 21st century reality of the people of Taiwan.
