Tokujin Yoshioka in collaboration with Moroso presented a series of chairs named 'MOON' in a beautiful installation called 'Twilight'.
This is what the artist had to say:
"Nature is beautiful, yet we find the very thin line between its beauty and the fear. In Japan, we recently witnessed its threats with our own eyes. Affected by this awe of nature, I would like to pursue the creation that seeks the fine relationship between nature and human being."
This March the Moon has made its closest approach to the Earth in 19 years, which is known as a phenomenon so-called supermoon. "MOON" is the chair as if sculpted from this beautiful rounded shape of the Moon. In this exhibition, the light reflects on the surface of the chairs and reveals the beauty of the various textures exist in the different kinds of white materials, such as plastics, and unique fabrics.
The installation "Twilight" creates the mood of the whole space with the light and aura. it would remind people of the natural phenomenon, known as the angel's ladder.
"I believe the installation will bring visitors the celestial experience as if embraced by the natural world".- Tokujin Yoshioka.
