At the 2013 London Design Festival, the very best of contemporary Polish design was brought to the attention of visitors, thanks to the collaboration between the Warsaw based Adama Mickiewicza Institute and the Creative Project Foundation. The exhibition which is hosted by the Polish Hearth Club in South West London, includes a selection carefully curated objects from a cross section of the top award winning designers in Poland in the fields of ceramics, textiles, furniture and graphics.

Experimental pieces include items created through the combination of art with the science of noise reduction in the form of the noise absorbing ribbed 3D textile panels by Aleksandra Gaca, and the practice of Prozessdesign who fuse design with engineering in the creation of welded metal sheets inflated with air. This pioneering material can be formed into a range of usable objects, including furniture through a simple system of connecting elements.

In addition to the exhibition, the culture and traditions of Poland were represented through events by Collective Unconscious at the Old Truman Brewery in East London, The Young Creative Poland pop-up shop at Art Yard Sale and the new Ognisko restaurant with terrace run by the owner of the Baltic restaurant in London. Young Creative Poland have been instrumental in the promoting of Polish talent in contemporary design since their 2009 debut in London.
