In September of this year, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig presented their Spring 2014 Collection for their Marchesa brand during a runway show at the New York Public Library. The collection statement was ‘Playful curiosities come to life!’ and was interpreted as a fanciful collection of breathtaking evening wear in metallics, pastels and neutrals, not forgetting the classic black.

Delicate body skimming lines, foregoing the over structured, in lace, tulle, silk adorned with butterflies, ribbons and pearls stretched the imagination to the unworldliness of the ethereal creations. Vintage princess dresses and dropped waist mid-calf lines complete with fringing  hinted at the ‘roaring twenties’. Exquisitely embroidered embellishments were evident throughout the collection, a signature feature of the brand.

Romantic flowing transparent skirts and elaborate boxy tops and an amazing full length gown adorned with swaying swathes of pearls surely stole the show! Accessories of pretty butterfly tattoos and flowing feather hair extensions completed the look of this mouthwatering ‘red carpet’ collection from Marchesa.
