The most recent in the list of grand events staged by the exclusive brand Miumiu was a three day pop up women’s members club staged in the soon to be opened refurbished Cafe Royal in London’s Regent Street. With a ‘by invitation only’ membership, a flock of international A-list ladies from Kate Moss to Dita von Teese received their membership packs with such whimsical club rules as ‘come as you are’ and ‘talk to strangers’.

The fortunate few and their guests enjoyed the enviable experience, a homage to the enjoyment of women in the form of a boutique with limited edition items by Vivienne Westwood and milliner Stephen Jones, a conversation room with talks on the role of women in culture and society and screenings of short films by and starring women. For their further enjoyment, delicious menus were created each day by 3 Michelin chefs and served in the restaurant and followed by cocktails in the bar and lounge to the music of international DJs.

The concept of the event mirrors the mission of the brand, to pamper women and devote itself to femininity. The club was in operation for a three day period at the end of November 2012 and plans are in the pipeline to stage similar events in other cities in the future.
