Vivienne Westwood released her second Limited Edition Ethical Fashion Collection. The collection took place in the beautiful gardens of the Palazzo Corsini, during Pitti Uomo 80th edition. “Not Charity. Just Work” , she says about her collaboration with the Ethical Fashion Programme, which is based in a Nairobi industrial area.
The aim of the project is to employ local women who live under extreme poverty and to introduce methods and materials in high fashion that cause minimal environmental damage. The handbags, laptop bags and key rings are all 100% handmade in Nairobi from recycled materials. Each one is completely unique and exclusively available on Yooxygen, as well as in Vivienne Westwood's stores.
