An apartment of 210 sq.m. in the center of Kifissia became the perfect canvas for a young couple working professionally in design and wanted to create their own modern-classic apartment in Parisian style, furnished by Deloudis

The environment, is privileged: dense trees and traditional houses. The architecture, is vintage: a three-storey apartment building with large waiting areas, many openings and grand marble staircases. As you enter the entrance lobby one finds a signature mirror of Philippe Starck for Fiam, the lobby leads to four different points. On the right hand-side is the living room and dining room area, directly in front is the sitting room and on the left side are the bedrooms and the kitchen.

"Our daily living is largely consistent with the logic of the architecture of the house," says the owner, who among the first of the concerns was the maintenance of the wooden floors, the marble fireplace and marble terraces. "All areas can be isolated and or opened up following a layout that once anticipated the need of frequent, official receptions," she adds.

The tone in the living and dining room areas is given by the architectural lines of Antonio Citterio in piecessuch as the black leather chairs «Solo» for B&B Italia and the «Crono» sofa for Maxalto. "We often have friends in the house for dinner and we like taking care of our guests in the old, classic way, but in a very modern environment," says the owner, explaining that the aesthetics of the house has references to the interior design of luxury hotels. In this context, art de la table has great significance for the couple. "We match the crockery such as "Mosaic" by the house of Hermès with silver Russian antique cutlery and Bohemian crystal, various family heirlooms or finds from our trips abroad."

The house is in a great extend dominated by white, gray and black, colors that match the colors of Kostas Tsoklis artwork, Christina Saradopoulos sculptures and also the artwork created by the owner himself. In contrast, in the daily sitting room priority is relaxation, so the couple chose the lightly furniture collection «Yale» of Jean-Marie Massaud for MDF Italia. Their minimalist frame and pillows like clouds combined with a different color palette, in shades of white and blue touches. Everywhere around the apartment, the large openings allow the light to bathe the flat all day. "Some walls were painted a dark color to balance the intense sunlight and act as frame points of the house," the owner explains. The favorite pieces of the owner include chandeliers by Moooi, the wall system by Acerbis, which seems to hover, and the silver antiques, ideal for the familiar tea ritual.
