Camper House of Shoes in New York was a design project between Camper and Tokyo based designer, Shigeru Ban. The store showcases Camper Together, a collaboration between Camper and leading shoe designers.

The one storey box like structure is an extension of a multi storey building on Prince Street in Soho. It differs from most Camper stores in that no shoes are displayed in the windows, customers must enter the store  in order to see the merchandise. The display cabinets are also original in that each pair of shoes is in an individual display cube, this wall of cubes is visible from a specific angle, yet from an alternative angle, the white on red Camper logo is seen.

Shigeru Ban’s signature material, hardy paper tubing, has been used to create a peaked roof for the store, a somewhat rural theme in an urban surround. The material has been used in several of his designs, in particular on the Camper Pavilion, a structure which has accompanied the Volvo Ocean Race 2011-2012
