Casa FOA is an annual South American design exhibition which features the work of contemporary designers of the region. The Casa FOA 2012 was held in Buenos Aires, and Argentine designers were highlighted and given the opportunity of showing the world how far they have evolved in the area of contemporary design.

One contributor to the event was the design practice of Estudio Nidolab with “Home Office”, their solution for home workers to create an efficient office area in a home environment. Through the use of simple materials in natural tones, they created a contemporary business space of just 54 sq.m. which would work well for many types of home based companies.

A wooden platform on which a table and chairs were placed would be perfect for meetings or joint projects. The space is defined without the need for walls or dividing partitions. Ample wall units in matching tones were provided for display or storage purposes and skylights ensure a wealth of natural daylight enters the space. An enclosed office is included for private work and a cloakroom corner in which to park your bike! The room is lightened even more by the pretty ‘mossy garden’ rug which adds a note of nature and relaxation into the office environment.
