Designed by Portuguese architects, Joao Tiago Aguiar and associates, The Cenario  restaurant is an elegant dining destination, located within a 5 star hotel in Lisbon, Portugal.

The concept of creating an entirely independent space within a space began by defining the boundary of the restaurant by the use of a contrasting colour scheme from the entrance to the space, via  the lobby of the hotel. The black granite floors and black fabric ceiling determine the perimeters of the 350 sqm. rectangular space.

An orange plate glass window, running the full width of the  facade, with a street view, creates a ‘sunset’ environment for the interior whilst white velvet drapes offer an option of privacy for the diners. The area is divided into a lounge area for drinks and a symmetrical dining area overlooked by an open kitchen. Italian designer chairs and the Dear Ingo pendant lights by Ron Gilad of Moooi complete the design aesthetics of this contemporary urban restaurant.
