The Dalliance House is situated in the northern suburbs of Athens and on one of the busiest streets of Kifisia.. The neoclassical building that most recently housed a very popular retailer, was built in the 1890s and was renovated in 2013 by the creative forces of Panagiotis Fountas, Konstantina Panagiotou and Marilena Spanoudaki-Mpakopoulou. The dymnamic three totally transformed the space into a hybrid where old meets new and classic co-exists with modern. The decorative moldings were preserved and the evident patina of time around the building was maintained and complemented by ultra cool decorative additions and bright colors. Aging techniques were used so that the two different eras meet successfully inside the premises of The Dalliance House.

We love the Geisha tattooed wall next to the teal wooden door that you meet as you walk straight in and to the right, as well as the long bar with the wooden surface on top. Take the stairs and they will lead you to the top floor where you can relax in the big fat sofa by the library.

When we visited, the place was packed and from what we hear it always is, yet again it felt spacious and relaxed thanks to the high ceilings and the large windows. For a moment it felt like we were dining far away from Kifisia. The whole experience felt homey and surely enjoyable.

Whether you feel like sipping a cocktail or tasting the culinary creations of the chef if you happen to be in Athens you have to pay a visit.
