Being aware of the trepidation most people feel when faced with a visit to a dental clinic, Integrated Field, a Bangkok based design studio have created an interior which emits a sense of friendly warmth and relaxation to be enjoyed by the patients of Dental Bliss, a dental practice in Thailand which opened in 2012 in a compact space of just 91 sq.m.

The waiting room, named the ‘TOOTH UNIT’ is a white space furnished with leather covered cubes in two shades of white which resemble teeth and may be moved around to create a variety of seating arrangements. The flexibility of the space is such that it can be used as a venue for seminars or meetings and so encompasses the qualities of FORMALITY and INFORMALITY.

The treatment area is open plan with privacy provided by translucent white curtains, creating a spa like feel for the patients. On a practical level, the curtains are easily removable for washing or for a change of decor. The only part of the clinic with a solid wall is the X-ray area which has a brick wall for safety purposes. The corporate identity is referenced in the color scheme of white with orange accents which emphasize vital points within the clinic. With adjustable lighting for each area ranging from cool to warm white, this is certainly a well thought out design for a dental clinic to instill a sense of confidence in the most timid of patients.
