A meeting between award-winning Australian designer Alexander Lotersztain of Studio Derlot and Dutch chef Erik Van Genderen, resulted in the creation of Depo. An eclectic bar/ restaurant, whose bold personality, intriguing scheme and quirky touches instantly caught Delood’s attention! As did the duality of the space, which is accentuated through its exterior; a bright sunny outdoor terrace with potted plants and an entire change of appearance within the large loft-like space of the interior.

Dark ceilings, exposed surfaces and casual groupings of comfortable couches and armchairs welcome the visitor to this unique destination. With something of interest to see at every turn, a leather Chesterfield on a sumptuous rug of Eastern promise, sheepskin covered bar stools, a vintage scooter, stuffed animals and a glittery disco wall, are just a few of the features which make up this fascinating eclectic design.

The designer’s own collection of weird and wonderful objects awards the space with a truly personal feel, a place in which to relax in comfort and soak up the inspirational atmosphere of the memorable interior, while enjoying a drink or meal in downtown Brisbane.
