The Frozen Fountain is a retail outlet and exhibition space which has been operating in its current location on Prinsengracht in Amsterdam for two decades. Under the management of co-owners Dick Dankers and Cok de Ruoy, the 10 room plus establishment has achieved an unprecedented reputation as a place to witness the latest design trends on the Dutch scene.
The store carries a permanent collection of furniture and household objects by established names, in addition to an eclectic mix of limited edition items by unknown and emerging designers. Cok de Ruoy is constantly on the lookout for new talent and in spite of the commercial aspect of the business, he is prepared to organize an installation or exhibition at the drop of a hat.
