The Tel Aviv offices of Google opened in December 2012 and occupy 8 floors and 85.000 sqft. of space in a smart high rise in the downtown area of the city. Designed by Camenzind Evolution in collaboration with Setter Architects and Studio Yaron Tal, the offices house a growing team of 50 people in the Marketing and Sales section and more than 200 engineers.
The spectacular interior has been created to reflect the diversity of culture and landscapes within Israel. A film set ambiance abounds, emphasised through the open ceilings with exposed pipework, in the constantly changing scenery of a virtual orange farm complete with tractor, deserts, beaches and country villages plus the fun aspect of a tunnel slide which connects the various levels of the offices.
Google are well known for their generosity in providing creature comforts for their fortunate employees in order to encourage the ultimate in creativity through communication and collaboration and the Tel Aviv offices are a wonderful example of this. Of course, scattered amongst the surreal communal spaces are a few conventional work pods for private projects. Lots of additional facilities have been made available in the complex including a gym, three restaurants which cater to diverse culinary needs, chill out spaces and if all that is not enough, just by looking out of the vast windows there is the best cityscape view in Tel Aviv!
