B&B Italia gladly received the proposal offered by Huf Haus – the German producer of ecological pre-fabs which boasts over 100 years of experience – to collaborate on their first sample house in Great Britain, located in Weybridge, near Surrey county.
The structure was created using glass and wood, and is the most engineered house to date in the UK. Constructed in only 20 days, it has the capacity to achieve the highest possible efficiency in a housing unit. All of the prefab elements were designed and created in the German headquarters of Huf Haus, thus guaranteeing the complete and proper disposal of waste products.
Huf Haus perfectly articulates the eco-luxury concept: the home was constructed using the most recent company-developed innovations, proving that it is indeed possible to live sustainably through a synthesis of contemporary architecture and advanced technology.
Open spaces where flooring and ceilings are connected by wide windows which serve as open pathways to nature. The combination of glass and wood is a clear reference to the Bauhaus tradition.
