Who better to design the interior for the Italian Headquarters for the Hangar Design Group than their own in-house team of talented designers! Housed in two buildings in the city of Venice, the International multidisciplinary practice both set and executed a work brief which resulted in what they consider to be amongst their finest interiors.

The office space of Hangar House is home to the management and administrative staff of the firm. Essential elements of privacy and intimacy combined with ergonomic flow within the defined spaces are achieved through the creative use of metal, glass, stone and slate. The second building houses the creative laboratory, a space where ideas are born and tested to prove their viability. The inspirational spaces which encourage cooperation and teamwork have a positive New York vibe in the light wood and dark contrasts and a chic retro feel in the lofty wood beamed ceilings.

The practice contest that an office space should be’ a meeting place between architecture and design and resemble a home’. It is this deliberately homely feel within the work zones and open plan communal areas which is part of a design concept to enhance efficiency and creativity through an environment which promotes the meeting of minds and exchange of ideas.
