Recently completed by the Athens and Heraklion based practice of Tectus Design, LARGO cafe exerts a new positive presence in Lions Square in the center of Heraklion, Crete. A comfortable, welcoming space, its classic contemporary aesthetic exhibiting exceptional retro details which add an element of warmth to the interior.

Wood has been employed as the principal material, highlighted in the spectacular hand crafted wall screen, tables, chairs, and service area. The wall behind the bar gleams with the tinted mirror tiles beneath a plaster ceiling with aluminum strips. Adding a traditional touch to the interior is the mosaic floor which hints at the heritage of the location of the cafe. Customer comfort is paramount in the choice of the well-designed seating areas in subtle neutral shades.

As with any all-day establishment, lighting options play a vital role in the creation of a desirable ambience depending on the time of the day. This has been addressed by the selection of LED lights in specific colors conducive to creating an enjoyable and relaxing environment within the well-designed interior.
