A building of the 90 in the heart of the City, surrounded by greenery of the Janiculum and Villa Sciarra. An oasis where Claudia Ranieri and Alessandro Roja have decided to put down roots and where, recently, came the little Orlando. Holds her communication agency, an actor, they have accepted the challenges that the house have been foreseen, all focusing on the opportunities.

"We started from a 360 ° view of the city," says Claudia, "and the special light of Rome. Now we shared this thought with the architectural firm MoReq. " More than year to achieve the goal, during which clients and architects decided together every detail.

"We did not want a static container," explains Alexander, "but something that represents our way of life, our interests. We wanted to preserve the peace, order. We were happy when the architects decided to work on the brightness and neutrality. Claudia and I are art and design enthusiasts, the monochrome and the materials chosen gave us the opportunity to emphasize objects and works. " Balanced, relevant, reasoned. Obvious aesthetic-cultural feeling between hosts and designers.

From which element has left the project? "It is Rome that inspires us", they tell the architects, "the pace of city spaces, streets, roads and squares has been the occasion to make a layout offering richness and variation. pivotal point: the light that characterizes the capital, dispensed and filtered through the use of natural materials on the walls. This was our response to generate the atmosphere related to the city that we are familiar with, and that the young couple asked.

For the floor we chose the monochrome of cooked Fornace Brioni, finished material with a second wood burning cooking that characterizes it with an atypical dark gray color. For the walls we kneaded, with Matteo Brioni driving, clay and aggregates such as dust of red marble, cotton, along with natural dyes finished with black soap with citrus fruits, which bring home the scent of lemon and orange gardens of the Romans " .

The living area open plan, surrounded by the first terrace, is immersed in a warm and refined. Basic choices of the furnishings. The three-meter-long table, designed by MoReq, is perfect to host dinners with friends and working moments of the young couple. The kitchen has a central island made of stone pitch, and plays on the compactness of the steel and the transparency of the glass flavored with cinnamon.

In the living room, the long in refractory concrete reveals the dual fireplace and sitting function. The dark gray tiled floor leads to the sleeping area and the integrated metal ladder to the wall, unique design developed in verticality, which leads to the guest room and second terrace.
