The city of San Miguel de Allende in Mexico is a UNESCO listed site, popular with local and international tourists who flock to admire its colourful traditional architecture and local arts and crafts. However, this destination is not all about old world charm, it is a venue for a series of events including a contemporary arts festival which is due to take place from May 31st to June 2nd, 2013.
The second annual San Miguel Art Festival (SMART) is to be held once again in the Hotel Matilda, a member of the Design Hotels brand. The hotel is already famed for its support of the arts and in particular its permanent collection of contemporary art which has become a popular feature of the establishment.
