The well known brand, United Colors of Benetton, have recently established a pop-up store which challenges the conventional idea of a retail outlet, in the Soho district of New York City, to present a selection of their F/W 2012 collection. The 2.200 sqm. space exhibits a wonderful integration of artistic elements and wearable fashion, as seen through the creative eye of Fabrica, the in-house team of communication specialist and artists, employed by the brand.

Cuban born Fabrica artist, Erik Ravelo has created a controversial concept installation, entitled Lana Sutra, which consists of a number of life size mannequins, bound in the colourful yarn used in the knitwear, positioned in lifelike poses taken directly from the pages of the Kama Sutra. In addition, the team have produced the knitted artwork displayed around the store which will be offered for sale at auction at the close of the space in December 2012.
