From outside it’s a space inspired by a primitive dwelling, an Amerindian wigwam. It is traditionally covered by birch bark or skins. Here, it seems to be made of floor panels that have been unhooked and placed informally around the structure.

Inside, all around as if the reverse of the bark and at the centre of the space you see vertical staves running from top to bottom and distri- buted round the circle. They are fitted with lots of small hooks.

This is actually a place of secret ritual, you’re invited to take a small piece of bark and carve your lover’s initials in it away from prying eyes. The planks, one after the other, will make up the tree trunk.
