The Louis Vuitton 2012 Cruise Collection was shown at London’s prestigious Churchill House. Designed by Marc Jacobs, this highly wearable collection was inspired by his long time friend, Sophia Coppola, the embodiment of a free spirited woman, elegant at all times. There was certainly a more relaxed feel to the collection, without the pressures attached to the two main seasonal collections of the designer.

The classics were present in the form of the pleated dresses and red cashmere cardigans along with unexpected elements such as turquoise snakeskin shorts and blue zebra accessories. The refreshingly whimsical prints of skyline views and the Eiffel Tower adorn the dresses and bags. The message was bold patterns and accessories and strong shapes.

Leather was featured strongly in jackets, skirts and T-shirts. The definitive LV monogram bag was pierced with small holes, modernising an old classic, all with the superb craftsmanship we have come to expect from this luxury brand.
